Houston Area — Texas Economic Growth
"Thanks to low taxes and light regulation, Texas is booming," according to the Economist (July 9, 2009).
Texas has no state income tax. It encourages corporate growth and job growth with business-friendly regulation such as "right-to-work" laws and strong laws for rights of property owners. The report below (from the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank) highlights the strong economic performance of Texas.
